I vote for playoff!!!
Raise your hand if you want a UCS, Florida, Texas, Utah Playoff!

“Jackson pleaded guilty Thursday in Orange County Superior Court to felony police evasion against traffic and misdemeanor reckless driving for the July 15 chase.
The 30-year-old apologized and claimed he was delirious from a lack of sleep and food when he fled police cars, narrowly missing pedestrians and cyclists.”

Rampage Jackson, the former light heavy-weight champ of UFC also rammed three cars during his chase with police from July 15th. Give the man some hooters wings and a queen size bed!!!
The Yankees may have made all the news this offseason signing C.C. Sabathia, A.J. Burnett and Mark Teixeira (what no two letter first name?), but the Boston Red Sox have quietly made moves to bolster it’s team to contend with it’s hated rivals.

The Sox have signed John Smoltz (how about having Smoltz as your #3 starter?), Brad Penny (how about Penny as your #4?), Takashi Saito to bolster the bullpen and Rocco Baldelli to add energy off the bench. Oh yeah, they still have the reining AL MVP and on of the best young closers in the game. Maybe they’re taking the Ray’s (who made it to the world series) approach to building a team with smart offseason moves instead of just outspending everyone.
So far the home teams are 0-2 in the NFL divisional games. Tennessee and Carolina came out looking flat on offense, were plagued by injuries and turnovers, and looked overall rusty.
Normally teams look forward to having a week off to prepare for the coming playoff games. It is a time to heal injuries and scheme different packages on both sides of the ball for the faster paced games. “I’ve never had a bye week before and believe me when I say we need a week off — both the offense and the defense,” said quarterback Jake Delhomme after the end of the season.

Apparently he used the time to learn how to throw the ball to the other team as he completed just 45% of his passes and had 5 picks in the game with a lossed fumble in his own 20.
All-Pro Steve Smith didn’t have a catch at all in the first half and the might rushing game of the Panthers never got going. After rushing for 178 yards in the 33-31 win against the New Orleans Saints in the last game of the season, DeAngelo Williams ran for only 51 yards on 11 carries.
The Titans were sloppy throughout the game and didn’t look like the team with the best record in the NFL at all. In the end, the mighty Ravens defense hit, ran over and spanked the Titans for the win. Yes there was a blown call towards the end of the game but Tennessee had plenty of chances to score points.

It will be interesting to see how the Giants and Steelers perform in front of their home crowds on Sunday. Both the Chargers and Eagles are on hot streaks, basically playing must wins for the last 4 games of the year and winning in the first round of their playoff games.
There you have it. The Celtics cannot win in Cleveland. In last year’s Eastern Conference Finals, the Cav’s forced the Celtics to a 7th playoff game simply because the Celtics couldnt win away from Boston. Lebron took over that playoff matchup when they were in Cleveland, but also couldnt lead his team to win in away from home.

Last night’s matchup between Boston and the Cavs was the first since the season opening game in October. That victory win against Boston brought Lebron and the Cavs to an oustanding 19 home game wins.
Lebron finished the game with 38 points while the Boston’s big 3 combined to 41 points. The Cav’s retro jerseys are kinda funky. I remember last year’s to be green. I think they’re trying to copy the Warriors colors.
